Obituary

Ursula "Suly/Susu" Medina was born May 24, 1968 at Harlem Hospital in New York City. She was the first born and the oldest of five children of Edith "Santi" Ramos – Medina and the Late Eulogio Medina. Ursula was raised in East Harlem Jefferson Houses in New York City. She attended P.S. 102, Career Academy (JHS 117) Mabel Dean Bacon High School, Brockport State University and was a Veteran in the United State Navy. In 1988, Ursula met and fell in love with Jorge David. With this union, they became parents to their three wonderful children: daughter, Kayla Medina: her only son, Jorge "Alonzo" David Jr and Thalia David. Ursula "Suly/Susu" Medina worked as a Clerical Associate for The City of New York at Metropolitan Hospital for many years. She then worked at Lenox Hill Hospital as a Surgical Technician until she had a stroke in 2019. Ursula" Suly/Susu" Medina was well known everywhere. She will be remembered for her outgoing energy, her big eyes like Diana Ross, her unique style of dancing, unique style of dressing and hairdo. Ursula "Suly/Susu" Medina leaves behind: her beautiful mother, Edith Medina; her longtime companion, Jorge David; her three beautiful children, Kayla "Nunu" Medina, Jorge "Alonzo" David and Thalia David; her first and only granddaughter, K'lani Suly David; her three sisters, Edith "Janet/Ginger" Medina, Yvette Medina and Belinda "Bella" Medina; her only brother, Jimmy "Justice" Medina; nieces and nephews, Tytiana, Shequira, Sharmae, Tyvon, Jaelyn, Myisha; her best friend like sister, Sally Sandoval and her goddaughter, Dayna Enriquez; all her many favorite cousins, and a host of our extended loving family including aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The "Medina Family" wants to thank all the families and friends for their out pouring love and support during our difficult time. Ursula Suly Medina, aka "Princess Sexy Suly", will be truly and dearly missed by: her mother, Edith Santi Medina; longtime companion, Jorge David; children, Kayla Medina, Jorge "Alonzo" David and Thalia David; granddaughter, K'lani Suly; her brother and sisters, families, friends and all that knew Ursula "Sexy Princess Suly" Medina.
