Obituary

Sharell Gainey was born in Manhattan, New York, on May 28, 1983, to her proud mother, Cynthia Gainey. She was the second of three children. Sharell always lived life to the fullest and had a deep passion for caring about people. Her passion for loving others led her to a career in nursing. She attended Public School 43, Walton High School, and then graduated from Oneonta Job Corps Academy. After receiving her High School diploma, she attended Sanford Brown Institute for Nursing, earning her certificate as a Medical Assistant. After working as a Medical Assistant for a couple of years, she decided to go back to school to earn a higher degree at St. Paul's Academy in Staten Island, New York. She worked at Bellevue Fertility clinic in Manhattan, New York, for a few years, then decided to take time off to be with her children full time. Sharell was a very friendly, loving, caring, and forgiving person who made the best roast beef and had the biggest heart. She lived every day as if it were her last. She also loved to travel as a little girl and spend time with her cousins and other family members in South Carolina. As an adult, she traveled to Hawaii, The Bahamas and went on several cruises. Sharell always had a beautiful huge, gapped tooth smile on her face, followed by a silly, unique laugh. Her conversations always made you wonder what she was talking about, but that's who she was, and people from all over loved her because of it. She was loved to the fullest by her sister and brother. She was the annoying sibling that only they understood with an unbreakable bond. She will forever be loved and missed. Sharell departed this life on April 19, 2022, and has gone on to Heaven to join her mother, Cynthia Gainey; grandmother, Lila Gainey; grandfather, Allen Gainey; and aunt, Winnie Lou Verner. She leaves to mourn and cherish fond memories: her children, Qeonna Davis, Christopher Gainey, and Noah Blanding; her siblings, Shavon Gainey and Daron Gainey; her nephew, Jeremy Holder; uncles, Jerry Gainey and Earl Gainey; her aunt, Mary Joseph-Gainey; her cousins, Simone Gainey and Shanice Gainey; and a host of loving family and friends. Done in love and sorrow by, Your Sister, Shavon Gainey
