Richmond "Kennedy" Brown was born on November 3, 1960 to Willis Brown and Cora Lee Pencile Brown in Whitehall, South Carolina.

Richmond graduated from Waterboro High School in 1978. After graduating, he joined the United States Army. He received an Honorable Discharge for his service to his country.

Richmond passed away at the Veteran's Hospital in New York, NY on November 8, 2022.

Richmond was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph Manigo, William Brown, and Benjamin Brown; and one sister, Shirley Ann McCullough,

Richmond leaves to mourn and cherish fond memories: four brothers: Edmond (Angie) Brown and Stanley Brown, all of New York, Luther Brown, and Willis (Kathleen) Brown, all of South Carolina; sisters, Elizabeth (Frank) Givens of New Jersey, Eunicestine (Leslie) Rutledge, and Gloria Smith all of New York, Alma Pencile, and Willie Mae (Willie) Gadsen, and Carleather (Timothy) Stroman, all of South Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
