Obituary

Rev. Margaret E. Judge was born in Harlem Hospital here in New York City to the proud parents of Mr. & Mrs. Harriet Sims on June 19, 1928. She was the second of two children. Rev. Judge attended Franklin High School in New York City. Shortly after she graduated she married the love of life, Nathaniel Judge. They had no children of their own, however she had many in and around the community that she called her own. Rev. Judge wore many hats, spiritually and figuratively speaking. She knew early on that she wanted a closer relationship with the Lord. She attended church regularly and decided to study to become an Evangelist. After she got her license she went on to start preaching as a Pastor's assistant at different churches all around the city and Philadelphia as well. She went wherever she was needed to preach. Rev. Judge was a member of Providence Baptist Church under Pastor Rev. Charles Anderson as an Associate/Assistant Pastor. She was also a member of Second Corinthians Baptist Church under Pastor Rev. Thomas as a visiting Minister. Rev. Judge worked as a school lunch room helper for over thirty years. She retired from Junior High School 50 in Manhattan. Rev. Judge helped the youth get summer jobs in her community. She served on the Tenant Association in her building and helped distribute food to the homeless. She took in homeless, troubled youth and young pregnant girls that needed help and guidance. Her door was always open to help the unfortunate and misguided souls. Rev. Judge transitioned from this life on, Sunday February 20, 2022 at 4:50 P.M., and had gone on to join her parents, brother, and husband. She leaves to mourn and cherish fond memories: her niece, Gwendolyn Duffy; nephew, Norman Duffy Jr, his wife and children; and a host of other relatives and dear friends. Rev. Margaret B. Judge will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched. Lovingly, Gwendolyn Duffy & Norman Duffy
