Minerva, (Minnie) Mack, was born on Wadmalaw Island, South Carolina, to the proud parents of
the late Mr. William Mack, Sr. and the late Mrs. Margaret Mack on May 27, 1946. She was the 6th child
of 16 Children.
Minerva came to the Bronx, NY at the age of 14. She attended and graduated from Morris High School.
After graduating, she began working at Equitable Life Insurance Company for many years. Also, she worked at the Department of Sanitation as a Community Assistant, for over 20 years before retiring.
Minverva, accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age, joined Mt. Zion AME Church under the leadership of the late Presiding Elder, Rev. John G. Ragin, and was a member for over 50 years.
She was a member of the Young Adult Choir, and after many years the name was changed to the Rev. J.L. Owings Choir; a member of the Mount Zionnaires Choir, where she is one of the original members; a member of the Joint Choir, and she was one of the Supervisors of the Rev. W.L. Freeman Choir. Minerva was also a Class Leader of number Class 18, and a former member of the Board of Trustees.
She was a virtuous woman who feared the Lord. She was taught Christian values early in life. She reminded her family, friends, and all those who crossed her path to trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your paths~Proverbs 3:5-6
Minerva lived a long and peaceful life and was ready to be ushered into glory. "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. ~ 2nd Corinthians 5:7
She is preceded in death by her Parents, William Sr., and Margaret Mack; her siblings; William, Jr.; Cornelius, Harriett, Devery and Jerome.

Joyce Kendall (Dr. Ross), Knoxville, TN.; Bernard Mack, Wadmalaw, S.C.; 2 Godchildren; Yolanda Brown-Thomas, Newark, DE. and Harvey Patrick Lessington, Bronx, NY and a Host of loving Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, extended family, and friends.
