Michael Mayo was born in New York City on August 23, 1954 to his loving parents Ruth and Lawrence Mayo. He was their only child. He attended public and private Elementary Schools in New York City and completed his Junior High School and High School education in the Seventh Day Adventist school system. He became a member of Ephesus Seventh Day Adventist Church in his teens and continued to worship there for the rest of his life. Michael was well known and liked by members of the congregation and was an active member who took part in many church activities. He also enjoyed going to Yankee baseball games and listening to gospel groups perform. He resided in a residential facility for seven years where he enjoyed the company of his house mates and received excellent care from the dedicated staff members. Michael's sudden and unexpected departure from this life occurred on June 24, 2021. Michael leaves to mourn and cherish fond memories: his family, the Ephesus Seventh Day Adventist congregation; his house mates; and many friends. Lovingly submitted by The Family.
