Obituary

Michael Bell was born to the late Barbara Bell and Lorenzo Bell, in the Bronx, NY on May 20, 1980. Michael attended the High School of Art and Design, in New York City, NY. While in high school, Michael joined the New York Boys Choir where he got to do what he loved. Sing! It is also where he met his best and most trusted friend, Curtis "Curt" McKume. Curt has been like a brother to Michael since they were teenagers. Michael was a skilled and talented musician, singer, performer, and artist. He poured himself into his music. At a young age, he performed the National Anthem before thousands during a New Jersey Nets game and along with his fellow choir members sung backup for the great Stevie Wonder at the Billboard Awards. Not to mention the countless lives he touched through his songs, and the music he produced. Michael was also an exceptional salesman. He could sell water to a whale! He had a special connection to his clients and made them all feel like family. This unique skill led to several promotions, awards, and eventually a promotion to management. Michael was fiercely loyal to those he loved and there is nothing he would not do for his family. His passion for music was only second to his passion for his family. He departed this life on June 26th, 2021, after suffering a severe heart attack. He was preceded in death by: his brother, Lorenzo Bell, and his parents, Barbara, and Lorenzo Bell Sr. Michael leaves to cherish fond memories: his six brothers, James R. Warren Jr. (Zalika), Robert Warren (Margaret), Robert Bell, Jeremiah, Jeshoua, and Josiah Bell; his nieces and nephews; Shaileem Shaquaer (Qua-qua) Stackhouse-Bell, Siyani, Tarra, Aidan, Noah, and Evan Warren; his most loyal friend and brother Kurt; along with a host of family and friends.
