Obituary

Maxine R. Davis was born on September 21, 1974 and passed on March 16, 2026. She was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

She was the cherished daughter of Charlena Davis and Johnny Swinnie. She was also the devoted stepdaughter of Marie Swinnie. Maxine shared a strong bond with her brother, Stevie Davis and her sisters, Allison Davis, Sarena Davis, Tilisa Swinney and Lesheree Swinnie.

Maxine was a loving aunt to nieces, Shanel White and Sherlisa Davis and her nephews, Jason Bass, Derek Bates, Marquis Burtler and Stevie Harmon. All of whom she cared for deeply. She is also survived her aunt Helen Robinson, along with many extended family members and loved ones who will continue to honor her memory.

Maxine graduated from The Manhattan Occupational Training Center in 1995, she later attended The Walter & Evelyn Redfield Center for Adults where she remained until her health started to decline.

Maxine will be remembered for her strength, her resilience, her ability to make everyone laugh and the love she shared with those around her. Her memory will live on through the lives that she touched and the moments she created with family and friends.
