Marie Cary-Davis born on October 9, 1939 in Albemarle County, Virginia to the late Mr. and Mrs. Matthew and Gertrude Cary. Marie's formative years were in Albemarle County, Virginia where she attended the public school system. At an early age, Marie was baptized at the New Hope Baptist Church in Albemarle County. She migrated up north to New York City where she met Mr. Adam Davis. At the age of twenty, she married Adam on July 3, 1959 in his hometown of Orangeburg, South Carolina. This union was blessed with twin boys. She departed this life on December 14, 2019. She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas; and brother, Carnell. She leaves behind to cherish fond memories: her beloved husband, Adam Davis; son, Adam D. Davis; five grandchildren, Jashua, Carleb, Lakisha, and twins Brandon and Bryan; one brother, Norbert (Thelma); two sisters, Elizabeth and Phyllis all of Virginia; four cousins (that she raised as her own), Jennifer, Charles, Antonio and Maria (Grant); daughter-in-law, Faye Davis; three brothers-in-law; five sisters-in-law; two favorite nieces, Dorothy (Mommy) and Janet (Missy); as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
