Margaret L. Patterson was born to the late Eula Mae Felton and James Felton. She was born on February 17, 1949. Margaret graduated from Dodge H.S. in the Bronx, NY.
On July 4,1968, Margaret married the late Robert Patterson who preceded her in death after 52 years of marriage. During this union, they raised two daughters, Cynthia, and Violet.
Margaret was employed by United Artist for about 10 years. Then she became employed by the NYS Department of Corrections. She retired from Corrections after 20 years of service. She loved going to Broadway shows with her grandchildren. Margaret loved life, she loved her family, and you could always count on her. She was a loving, loyal dedicated, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to all.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Patterson; her mother, Eula Mae Felton; her father, James Felton; her sisters, Mary, Pearl, and Ella; her brothers, Roosevelt, and Thomas; brother-in-law, Douglas; and sisters-in-law, Gail, and Erica.
Margaret leaves to cherish fond memories: her two daughters, Cynthia (Michael) Rodriguez and Violet Patterson; her grandchildren, Demetrius, Wiynter, Chassidy, Jarius, and Angel; her children (they later adopted) Eric, Ben, and Tisha; her sisters, Mary Kate, Margie, Rosie (Albert), Marilyn (Lionel), and Dolete (John), niece, Gloria (Alfred), her brothers, Al, Casey (Shirley), Jimmy (Cheryl), Richard (Rena), Anthony, Curtis (Diane), and her baby brother, Joseph; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
We had an amazing, loving mother, grandmother, and friend. We will feel lost for a while, but we know she will be watching over us.
Lovingly submitted by,
The Family
