Marcus W.
Quatttlebaum
d. Jul 27, 2026
Marcus William Quattlebaum was born on September 7th, 1993, to Willie and Katrina Quattlebaum in the Bronx, New York. His brother Matthew Quattlebaum preceded him in death. Marcus was given the nickname (Marty) by his grandmother Pearl. He was affectionately known as (Binky) by his mom and dad. Marcus attended Columbus High School, where math was his favorite subject. Marcus was raised in church from a baby; he sang in the children's choir and the youth choir. Marcus was also in the church as one of Apostle Bligen's Armor-bearers. Marcus loved his family, and he loved family gatherings because he couldn't wait to get to the food he loved to eat. He loved to help out, and anything you asked of him to do, he was there to do. No matter what the circumstances were, he would try to help, and if he couldn't fix it or put it together, he'd say (I Tried), and he would walk away laughing. He also loved dogs so much that he would take care of them like his kids. Marcus was a father to 9-year-old Kamaya Faith Quattlebaum and 5-year-old Sharnez Dashawn Quattlebaum. Marcus loved his daughter and son; he said fatherhood is the best thing that happened to him. he said it made him grow up.On July 12, 2026 Marcus dedicated his life to the Lord. Then again on July 14th, he repeated the sinner's prayer. He said, "Aunty Cindy," I'm going to church back to God where I belong. I'm through with the world and the street life. On July 27th, 2026 Marcus went home to be with the Lord. Marcus leaves to cherish his memories: loving mother, Katrina Morris; loving father, Willie Quattlebaum; daughter, Kamaya Faith Quattlebaum; son, Sharnez Dashawn Quattlebaum; brother, Willie Quattlebaum; god brother, David; 3 god sisters, Ebony, Katina and Iyana; one great uncle; one great aunt; 4 uncle's; 5 aunts; 6 nieces; 6 nephews; and a host of cousins, and friends. His cousin and best friend, Daron Quattlebaum, were like two peas in a pod, always together. Marcus called him his "Road Dog"."A message from (Mom) to Marcus. my mind still talks to you, and my heart still looks for you. But my soul knows you at peace." "A big piece of my heart now lives in Heaven and he is my son (Binky)." (Dad)"To my best friend and my cousin Marcus, you were always there for me no matter what. You never let me down; you always had my back. We went to elementary school together, and we fought many battles in those streets. And through it all, God kept us. I will truly miss you, my cousin, my brother, and friend." ( Daron)
