Leonard Joseph Rowe was born to Joseph Rowe and Beulah Abramson at Metropolitan Hospital in New York, NY on November 5th, 1959. Leonard was affectionately known to most as "Lenny" and has earned many nicknames along the way. Lenny was raised in Harlem and at the age of nineteen, he joined the army in search of a better life. Upon his return to Harlem, he worked many years in the appliance industry. On May 14, 2000, he married the love of his life, Dina, and they started their journey of building their family. Lenny moved to Yonkers, NY with his wife and children and continued to work in the appliance industry. He then moved his family to Middletown, NY where he worked for a door-to-door ambulance service. In 2011, he and his family moved and settled in Charleston, WV where he was employed at an industrial plant warehouse. Lenny loved life and people. He was good natured and always willing to help someone in need. He reminded us that he was there to protect by saying "say hello to my little friend"! On Wednesday, June 23rd, 2021, our beloved Lenny departed this life leaving many of his loved ones with cherished memories. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Rowe; his mother, Beulah Abramson; and his sister, Jacklin Johannes. Lenny's precious memories will be cherished forever by his wife, Dina Rowe; two daughters, Christine Rowe, and Jackie Rowe; two sons, Alex Colon (Genica) and Abraham Colon; four grandchildren, Iyona McCoy, Kiyah McCoy, Kaylee Devaughn, and Nahmir Wright; two siblings, Merrill Smith (Steve) and Linda-White-Butler; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
