A Time To Be Born: Julia Annetta White was born November 29, 1930 in Goldsboro, North Carolina, she was born to the late great William and Valnetta Blunt. After completing her education at Dillard High School in Goldsboro, North Carolina, she enlisted in The United States Army. She later migrated to New York City where she met and married her loving and devoted husband Orien White of 50 years. Orien was her confidant, companion, kindred spirit and soulmate. Julia was his eternal sunshine and their everlasting love sustained the test of time.
Julia was known to those who knew and loved her as "Junnette". She was an upstanding member of the community. She dedicated countless hours to community organizations. She was known for her straightforwardness, ethics, and morally uncorruptable opinion. Julia was a compassionate person, often putting others before herself.
Julia was blessed to share an unbreakable and close-knit bond with her eight wonderful children: Valnetta Gilmore, David Lee Butler, Shirley (Jerome) Frazier, Juliette (Titus) Makin, Robert Butler, the late Orien White, Jr., Patricia White, and Kelvin White. Julia had one sister-in-law, Harriet Long, as well as two step children, James Foy and Sharon (Michael) Capers.
Julia's memorable moments will be cherished with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and a plethora of nieces, nephews, cousins, loved ones, and friends.
