for many years. Jerry helped his family many ways and numerous times financially. Jerry let anyone that needed help to be responsible so they would not find themselves in the same situation needing help again.

Jerry was an "old head" who was a great lover of music always loving to listen to songs by The Chilites, Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes, The Ojays, The Delphonics, introduced to him in his youth. He took his wife to many concerts with dinner after the show over their life and journey together from 19 years old. Jerry favorite song that he loved to sing was called "Wildflower" by Skylark which he sang and performed in talent competitions during his youth and early adulthood.

The Watts started dating from time of them officially meeting in December 1984 even though Jerry proved to Gwendolyn that he actually saw and admired her at his Gompers High School Talent show and seeing her earlier in his Southern Boulevard neighborhood by describing her outfit worn on that day. Jerry had an incredible memory. He was into history and never forgot a face or where he met you. He never met a stranger. Jerry could talk to anyone as if they were the only one that existed. Looking you straight in the eyes.

Jerry knew how to get what he wanted in life. He also always believed in speaking his mind.

Jerry was a great example of a hard working fun loving individual who made it out of the hood to do good. He loved being an Electrician and the respect it brought him.

Jerry used to fix street lights around the city where youth would see him with his keys open up light poles across New York City at their base and then get in his bucket and go up high in his boom truck to put a new light in the fixture to keep the city streets and highways safe and well lit. He gave black and brown kids someone to look up to in his 25 years of being an Electrician.
