Jason Filtzroy Jarvis passed away unexpectedly at the age of 48 from heart failure on January 16, 2022 in Harlem, New York.
Jason was born on December 5, 1973 at Harlem Hospital to his proud parents Jeanette Joseph & Jupert Jarvis. He was the second of seven children and the oldest of four boys.
Jason attended PS 108 Elementary School in New York City, across the street from his childhood home. He went onto Career Academy Middle School and later attended Martin Luther King Jr. High School. Upon graduation he explored several trade schools and immediately worked in various job markets. It was through his experiences in working for others that he decided to work for himself and even started several companies. He was an avid innovator and entrepreneur always creating various products by hand which he would market and sell. It was not unusual for Jason to have the next big idea that he would want to keep a secret from competitors but would slowly circulate amongst friends and family under the strictest of confidences. Jason was an extremely hard-working, determined man who would go to any length to bring his plans to fruition. He often worked too hard, but would not have it any other way as there was work to do.
In 2006, he met Jamie Rowe and was blessed with his only child his daughter, Jalynn on April 5, 2008. Jason was a devoted father who adored his baby girl.
Jason is survived by: his daughter, Jalynn; his mother, Jeanette; his brothers, Jay, John, and Jonathan; his sisters, Jennifer, Jessica, and Joseth; his 14 nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, countless cousins, and numerous friends who will celebrate his life, cherish fond memories, and continue to hold him in their hearts. He is predeceased by his father Jupert, his maternal grandparents Enid and Edward, and his paternal grandparents, Virginia and Fitzroy.
Jason will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched and no matter the how much time passes it will always hold true that: "You went away so suddenly, we did not say goodbye, but family can never be parted, precious memories never die"
