Obituary

Helen O'Quinn was born to Mr. & Mrs. Hodge (Serena) in Eastover, South Carolina on March 8th, 1938. She departed to her eternal home on Sunday, February 6, 2022. She was educated in the public school system. She graduated from Weber High School in Eastover, SC in 1956. Attending college in Virginia. Witnessing of her faith was evident as a member of Williams Institutional C.M.E. Church of New York for over 60 years. Years of her leadership to name a few, Mattie E. Coleman, New York – New England District Vice President of the Women's Missionary Society, Williams Institutional C.M.E. Church Vice President of the Women's Missionary Society, Stewardess, Class #3 Leader, and Leader of Leaders. One of her most memorable soprano solo's were 'Come, ye Disconsolate' which speaks comfort and encouragement, the essence of Helen O'Quinn. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Carol Greenbaum She leaves to cherish fond memories, a loving devoted cousin, Bruce Meyers (Amparo); and three sisters, Lynn Prigazen (Elliot), and Joni Greenbaum. Also cherishing her memory are three adopted sisters, Helen Baker, Mozie Keys, and Anne Burley; a longtime friend, Carrie Coleman; goddaughter, Celeste Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, and friends.
