Georgianna Davis was born in New York City, New York to her proud parents, George and Norma Blunt, on November 9, 1950. She was the oldest daughter of six children.
Georgianna attended Central Commercial H.S. from which she graduated in 1969.
She married Oliver Davis Jr. in February of 1970. This union was blessed with a daughter, Tarniece, their only child.
Georgianna pursued careers as an Administrative Assistant, Secretary, and Receptionist. Lastly, as a Community Affairs Associate at the D.O.B. (Department of Buildings), where she built a career for over 19 years from 1999 to October 2018 when she retired. She loved working there where she formed many friendships.
Georgianna loved music, dancing, and people. The oldies were her favorites, especially groups from Motown, The Stylistics, The Chi-Lites and many more. Her favorite thing to do was going out once a month to the Roseland Ballroom with Felix Hernandez and The Rhythm Revue.
Then, there was the annual AIDS Walk. She was so proud to raise funds for a cure. She would be presented a crown every year for the amount of money she raised. She was so excited to wear that crown on Monday morning to work.
Georgianna leaves to mourn: her daughter, Tarniece Riddick; son-in- law, Troy Riddick; three grandsons, Mahliek Davis, De'Val Davis, and Unique Davis-Riddick; great granddaughter, Amirah Davis; her life long partner, Steven Johnson; two sisters, Christina Blunt and Debroah Blunt; two brothers, Kenneth Blunt and Stacey Blunt; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
We will always miss and love you.
