Elouise "Sister"
Glover
Sep 17, 1939 — Jul 10, 2024
On Wednesday, July 10, 2024, the Angel of Silence sealed the lips of Ella Louise Glover and her soul winged its flight from this world of sorrow to a place of beauty and eternal rest. Ella Louise/Elouise Glover, affectionately called "Sister" was born in New York City at Sydenham Hospital on September 17, 1939. She was the 2nd child of six children born of the late Charles and Ethel Glover. Sister grew up in a household filled with children, love, and a strong spiritual foundation. Sister attended the public schools in New York City and graduated from Seward Park High School. After graduation, she continued to evolve with an entrepreneurial spirit while also engaging in other endeavors, training programs, and secretarial work. In 1973, Sister joined the Federal workforce with the US Customs and Border Protection agency. She started with an entry-level position and, at the close of 40 years, retired as a US Customs Officer. She received several accolades and commendations for advancement and outstanding performance. Sister made her mark on the world and was known and recognized for her fashion acumen and lavishly having the finer things of life. She loved ballroom dancing and social events with the love of her life, Manson Faust. Commitment, dedication, and fiscal savvy describe the life of Sister as she was truly dedicated to her family. Being the oldest daughter, she was very protective of her siblings, and this extended to all her family. Elouise and her sister Geri cared for their mom during her ailing years. Sister was instrumental in the rearing of her sister's children and grandchildren. She financially supported her nieces and nephews, explicitly encouraging them to seek higher education for their betterment. In her final days, she reflected on life and her many blessings. Our matriarch closed the circle in heaven as she was the final sibling to join their parents. She leaves a legacy of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a sister-in-law; she was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Ethel Glover, and her siblings, Charles, Andrew, Benjamin, Geraldine, and William.
