Ella Louise Davis was born October 1, 1940, in Kelly, North Carolina, to her parents, the late Richard and Katie Wright. Ella Davis was the oldest of eleven children.

As a young lady, Ella moved to Queens, New York, and worked as a Dietitian for the Wartburg Luther Home in Brooklyn, New York. Ella met and later married Carl Davis Jr. This union was blessed with two children, Donna Cheryl Davis and James K. Davis.

Ella later relocated to live with her daughter, Donna, in the Bronx, New York. She attended Salvation and Deliverance Church with her daughter, who is a devout member.

Ella remained in the entrusted and faithful care of her daughter until the day the Lord called her home.

Ella departed this life on March 1, 2023, and leaves to cherish fond memories: two children; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; six siblings; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family, and friends.
