Mrs. Doris Elizabeth Crawford was born on January 24, 1925, to her proud parents Gertrude and William Conley in Atlantic City, New Jersey. She was the second eldest of fourteen children. She received her education in the Atlantic City Public School System. She volunteered at Good News Evangelist Church as a Sunday school teacher, as well as volunteering at the Salvation Army for twenty-five plus years. She enjoyed activities such as arts and crafts at the senior center. She was preceded in death by her husband Rufus Crawford Sr., and three children. Mrs. Doris Elizabeth Crawford peacefully departed this earthy life on December 7, 2019. Her life will forever be cherished by those that she left behind: her children, Mary Askew, Rev. Dr. Brenda Frazer and Alvin Crawford; Nina, Ginger and Shanique whom she also raised; sister-in-law Irene Elliot and her brother-in-law Charles Elliot; sister-in-law Lucille Johnson-Jameson; best friends, Vernice Baker and Mrs. Margaret Moore: as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchilldren, other family and friends.
