Dora Ford was born to her proud parents, John Morgan and Margaret Woods, on July 15, 1940 in New York City. She was the youngest of fourteen children.
Dora attended Elementary and High School in New York City, where she lived all of her life. Early in life, she met and married Donald White. The union was blessed with two sons, Gary White and Lacey White. She later met and married, Gary Ford and they were blessed with a son, Gary Jr.
Dora worked at Bronx Community College where she was a Job Developer. She liked helping young women to find jobs and to prepare them for life's challenges.
She was affectionately know as "Ms. Ford, Mama Ford, Auntie and Grandma". In her younger years, she was called "Dora Dolly Dimple Morgan" because of her dimples and infectious smile. She was always the life of the party and could out dress anybody from head to toe! Any event or function that came up, you had to invite Mama Ford.
Dora departed this life on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 and have gone to join her parents and twelve other siblings.
She leaves to mourn and cherish fond memories: one sister, Catherine; three children, Gary Jr., Gary White and Lacey White; one daughter-in-law, Lourdes (Lulu); three granddaughters, LaMaria, Solangel and Genesis; one grandson, Isaiah; four nieces, Lottie Davis, Valerie Jenkins, Phyliss Davis and Viola Wright; two nephews, James Davis and Edward Davis; and a host of grand nieces, grand nephews and friends.
Dora will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched.
