Derrick Sean Sutton born July 23, 1963 to the late MaryAnn Sadler (Sutton) and Walter Sutton, Jr.
Derrick, also known as "Dee", was born in New York City, where he attended public school and attended high school. He worked in the meat marketing industry for many years (something he inherited from his father). Derrick attended the Greater Calvary Baptist Church located in the Village of Harlem and later became a member.
Derrick was loved so dearly and will be greatly missed. He always had words of humor to cheer you up. He would not hesitate to come to your aid whenever you called on him for anything. He had a heart of gold and loved his children and his family.
With the greatest gratitude to God for his life, Derrick leaves to cherish his love and precious memories: five children, Lil Derrick, Kayla, Henry, Montana and Delores; three grandchildren, Diamond, Nassir and Bella; a brothe, Lamont Sutton (Deborah); a sister, Raven Phillips (Demane); two nephews, Taj and Armani; three nieces, Tia, Demi and Zoey; four uncles, Owen Sutton (whom he was extremely close with -- he was truly Owen's Meatball), Leonard Sutton, Jeffrey and William Mann; four aunts, Audrey Sutton, Christine Sutton, Regina Stevens and Priscilla Sutton; a great aunt, Dorothy Sadler; many, many, cousins; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He wished no one a last farewell,
He said good-bye to none.
His loving heart just ceased to beat,
His stay on Earth was done.
He left many beautiful memories
And a sorrow too great to be told.
The love we have for Dee
Will never ever grow old.
Lovingly submitted by,
The Family
