Delores Cabness, the daughter of the late Irene Cabness and Prince Malloy, was born December 5, 1953, New York, New York. She transitioned on August 6, 2022. Delores attended P.S. 144 and Wadleigh Junior High School in Harlem and Charles Evan Hughes High School in Manhattan, where she received her high school diploma. Delores gave birth to two sons, Anthony and Camar. She loved her boys dearly. Delores loved her family. She cherished her nieces and nephews and supported them in everything they did. She attended family trips and all family functions. The room lit up whenever she came around with her infectious laugh. The family was always happy to see her. Delores was a fashionista and very creative in everything she did. She was the best cornrow braider during her time. Everyone admired her hair styles and she was the make-up artist for her friends. She knew how to put an outfit together that made her stand out in the crowd. She also created long-lasting friendships throughout her life. Delores loved listening to music and dancing. She leaves to mourn and cherish fond memories: her sons, Anthony Cabness and Camar Cabness; her grandchildren, Nyeema Cabness, Anthony Sean Cabness, Jr., Nylasha Cabness, Demi Cabness and Chance Chisholm; her sisters, Marguerite Weldon and Rhonda Cabness; her nieces, Kim Weldon-Jeffrey, Kay Weldon Matthews, LaQuaia Cabness, Eugenia Cabness, and Denise McCrae; niece-in-law, Jennifer Weldon; nephews, Kerry Weldon, LaQuinn Cabness, and Eugene Cabness; nephews-in-law, Reginald Jeffrey and Anthony Matthews; best friend, Poochie Sutton; and a host of grand nieces, grand nephews, great grand nieces, great grand nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
