Conrad Newsome was born on February 26th, 1976, to Conrad Layton and Betty Jean Newsome. From the start, Conrad was the apple of both his parents' eyes.
Conrad grew up in church, studying the Pentecostal faith, where he played the drums and sang in the choir. He never strayed away from his religious upbringing and would attend church often. He loved God, believed in Him, and prayed every day.
Conrad was very smart, adventurous, and courageous. He enjoyed life to the fullest, and everywhere he went, he made new friends. Everyone loved him. He was truly the kind of person you could call on for a shoulder, laughs, conversation, or someone to just sit with and hold your hand if you needed it.
Conrad was a godsend to the rest of his siblings and immediate family because he stepped up and took on the full-time, immense day to day responsibility of caring for his sick and disabled, elderly mother – and it was never easy. Conrad handled her, and everything else with great love, consistency, and patience. He put aside a lot of his own wants, needs, and relationships in order to be the son she needed him to be, and Conrad was with her every day until the day he died.
He leaves behind to cherish fond memories: his mother; one sister; six older brothers; his children; his wife; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins. Above all, his vast number of friends who adored him.
The loss of Conrad, a great son, father, brother, husband, and a dear friend, is a tremendous loss to all. We will carry him in our hearts and minds forever.
For my brother,
John 14:27: Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
- your loving sister
We LOVE you!!!
