Carolyn
Pressley
Jul 16, 1963 — Nov 14, 2022
Carolyn Pressley was born in New York to her proud parents, the late James and Macy Pressley, on July 16, 1963. She was the baby of six children.
Carolyn was raised in New York, and that is where she also attended school and worked as a home health care worker
Carol, as she was affectionately called, entered this world full of life and fearlessness. As a child and teenager, she was feisty and adventurous. There was nothing anyone could do to curb her zest for life. She didn't let anyone or anything stop her from living the life she wanted.
Carol became a mother to Crystal and Michelle (Mimi) in her early 20's with Roger Charrette. Her two daughters blessed her with four grandchildren, Chiann (Crystal), Michael, Tristan, and Kamren (Michelle).
Carolyn loved life, but her love for her children and grandchildren was deep, wholehearted, and unapologetically fearless. Her love for them was the definition of unconditional love. She was a great mother but a perfect grandmother.
Later in life, she met and married Suliman Stevens, whom she loved dearly. They would spend 23 years together, and he was beside her when she was called home.
With her passing, she leaves behind: two daughters, Crystal and Michelle (Mimi); four grandchildren, Chiann (Crystal), Micheal, Tristan, and Kamren (Michelle); five siblings, nieces, and nephews: her best friend and sister, Lynette (Lavar, Brittnie and Donald), Shelley (Amber and Dennis), Maureen (Tinesha, Lawrence Jr., Shalena, Micheal, and Preston), James (Keyana and Jamar) and Gary. She also leaves behind her son-in-law, Anthony; and a host of great nieces, great nephews, family, and friends.
Carolyn will be missed dearly, but we are comforted knowing she's in her mother's arms, Macy.
