Archie Jerome Davis was born in New York City, NY, on March 24, 1949. At a very early age, the family relocated to Tallahassee, Florida. He was enrolled in the Tallahassee School System from kindergarten through high school, graduating in 1967. While on vacation in New York City in 1972, he took a Civil Service exam. He scored very high and was called off the Civil Service list within six months. He was employed by New York City from August 1972 to February 2003. Archie departed this life on August 15, 2022, and has gone on to join his mother and two sisters. Archie leaves to mourn and cherish fond memories: Lorraine Martinez; brothers, Billy, Ben, Mike, and Yusef; niece, Tasha; lifelong friend, John; as well as a host of cousins, relatives, and dear friends.
