Albert D. Atchison, affectionately known as Alcapone, was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina to his proud parents, Marvin D., and Magnolia Atchison, on August 21, 1940.

He moved to New York City during the month of July 1957. He made the "Big Apple" his home until his untimely death.

He attended The Greater Zion Hill Baptist Church in Harlem at 127th and Frederick Douglas Blvd.

His favorite sport teams were: The Dodgers, Boston Celtics, and Philadelphia Eagles. He traveled back and forth to Spartanburg during the past years to even celebrate his 75th birthday. He revisited Spartanburg on August 3, 2022, to celebrate his uncle Charles' 93rd birthday.

Albert departed this life on February 16, 2023 to join those who have gone on before him.

He leaves to mourn and cherished fond memories: his beloved soulmate, Terri; his son, Calvin; his loved ones: Faye, Eddie, Deborah, Al, Janaya, Danielle, Ethan, Denise, Niya, London, Madison, Jayden, Emma, Delone, Jayden, Al, Ariana, Jamaia, Journey Lynn, Nasjeer, Andrew, Alisa, Jayden, Doris, Maxine, and Willie Mae; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Albert will be missed by all whose lives he dearly touched.
