On February 27, 1925, Junell Charley Felder was born to her parents, the late Allen Benjamin and Mattie Lou Charley in Rock Hills, South Carolina. Aunt Junell was the second born of three children.
While in her twenties, Aunt Junell met and married her husband, the late Buster Felder. Shortly after, she relocated to New York where both of her sisters lived. It didn't take her long to find work. She soon gained employment by a company called Supply, a belt factory located at 14th Street and 9th Avenue. Little did she know at the time, this was the job she would retire from. Yes, this job was her one and only job for the next 40 years.
Aunt Junell was unconditionally devoted to us, her family. She was loved by each and everyone of us here. As a family, we had some good times together. Sometimes, she would be the life of the party and sometimes, she would turn the party out. Like everybody else, she had her moments.
She departed this life on Monday January 11, 2021 at Greater Harlem Nursing Home in Manhattan where she have been living for quite sometime.
Aunt Junell was preceded in death by her two sisters, Alberta Charley Jones and Earline Charley White.
Aunt Junell leaves to cherish fond memories: four nieces:Willamae, Betty, Pat and Judy; two nephews, Jerry and Michael; grandnieces, Robin, Deidra, Stephanie, Chevonne, Dorrien and Sherelle; seven grandnephews; Ray Ray, Damon, Diamond, Jermaine, Sean, Derrick, and Al Jr.; nine great grands; Shicka, Shakeema, Sade, Rayvon, Devyn, Damon Jr., Davon, Brianna, Aaliyah, and Noel; five great great grands, Jayden, Diamond Jr., Jazaea, Sakeni and Summer (the new addition); and a host of family and friends.
Aunt Junell will be so deeply missed.
Lovingly submitted by the family
